Organics that fall into your pool or imbalanced chemicals or dirty filters.. Examples of organics are dirt, leaves, hair etc. It only takes a few hours for algae blooms to get started, especially if the pool gets low on chlorine levels, or the pump or filter are not running properly. A rising pH level can also indicate a problem with algae.
